METTA – THE PRACTICE OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

What if love were not just an emotion that occasionally appears in our lives, but an inner state to which we can always return?

Buddhism calls this metta – the state of consciousness of unconditional love and goodwill. An open presence that does not discriminate, does not expect reciprocity, and does not depend on how the world treats us.

This evening, I will guide you through a special inner process.

We will prepare the body and mind with a gentle, meditative yoga practice, then gradually open our hearts in a longer guided yoga nidra.

First, we return to ourselves, to the quiet source of presence.

From there, the heart slowly opens to those close to us, then expands further, reaching connections that are more distant from our daily lives.

Finally, the space expands towards all those where the connection may be accompanied by tension, difficulty, or unspoken issues.

At the end of the practice, love is no longer directed at a single person, but becomes boundless. It quietly extends to all living beings, reminding us that our deepest desire is the same in all of us: to live in safety, to find peace, to love and be loved.

This evening is not about changing ourselves or others, but about awakening that inner quality that has always been within us.

For when the heart closes, we see the world through our fears.

But when it reopens, that same world becomes a space for healing.

That is why wise traditions have taught for millennia that love is not just a feeling. It is a path. A practice. And the beginning of all true inner transformation.

HATHA YOGA SADHANA – THE PATH OF CONSCIOUS PRACTICE

Sadhana on the path of yoga means conscious inner discipline – the practice in which the body, breath, and mind gradually purify and come into harmony.

This class draws from the tradition of classical hatha yoga, where practice is not merely movement, but inner alchemy: a slow re-tuning of the coarser layers, so that attention becomes increasingly refined and quiet.

The path of hatha yoga is the unification of the energies of the sun and moon within us – the balancing of polarities, in which the body becomes strong, the nervous system calms, and the mind naturally turns inward.

The practice consists of slow, consciously guided asanas, where each posture is an opportunity to deepen presence. The subtle rhythm of the breath leads throughout, like an inner thread connecting movements into meditation.

In this space, the goal is not performance, but the purity of the practice. It is about gradually returning, using the body as a tool, to that inner state where strength and calm are not opposites.

The practice concludes with a short period of silence, so that the effect of the sadhana remains not only in the body but also in the deeper layers of consciousness.

This path does not lead outwards.

But back – into presence, where the practice itself becomes meditation.

FULL MOON RITUALS

Under the energy of the full moon, we now enter a slower, more meditative space.

Incense, essential oils, singing bowls, and a deeper Yin-based practice help calm the nervous system and gently turn our attention back towards ourselves.

This evening is not about performance, but about relaxation, letting go, and the inner silence that we often lose amidst the noise of everyday life.

A softer, more intuitive practice where movements, scents, and sounds together create a deeply supportive space.
